Things I accomplished this week:

Workflow

In my last week, I worked on understanding Google Analytics, created marketing templates in Mailchimp, and designed announcement posters in Canva. To tackle each of these, I dedicated at least one day’s worth of free time to tackling them and creating the content for them.

When I had finished everything, then my goal was to make it look nice and send off everything to DarkHeart Brewing’s owners so that they could see what I had done for them.

What I’ve Learned

As my project comes to a close, I’ve learned that the marketing skill well is so much deeper than I initially thought. All the data analysis, writing, and campaign tracking are intense and well worth the time to invest in a thorough understanding of them.

The biggest things I’ve learned have been how to use Google Analytics to guide everything in the marketing funnel from email to website design, and how to write effective copy!

What’s Next?

Well, this project may be done, but I’m not! As I move forward, I’m going to continue developing my marketing knowledge by applying it to my own efforts and a podcast idea I have in the works. I’ve come to realize how useful the knowledge and skills I’ve gained this past month are in anything I want to get into other peoples’ hands.

Additionally, next month I start Module 3 of the Praxis Program, where the challenge is to write a blog post every day for the whole month. I aim to keep them somewhat themed and to apply what I learned during this month’s project to publicizing my work here. The future is exciting!
