Pencil It In

[9/27/2023 Update: Sadly, when I migrated hosting services, it lost all the images with pricing details. This post remains for posterity’s sake alone]

Whether you’re just starting on your own or working for a large marketing agency, your top priority is to stay on top of everything you post for your clients. In the digital age, there is a glut of digital options from which to choose.

But having too many options can be just as frustrating as no options. I’ve focused on four tools that help you schedule clients’ posts and analyze their performance, with particular attention paid to ones with LinkedIn integration.

All pricing details accurate as of January 2021

Sendible

While this is one of the more expensive options on the list, the sheer breadth of integrations in addition to LinkedIn may be worth Sendible’s extra cost: Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, WordPress, and Blogger, to name a few.

Sendible’s standalone feature is its all-in-one management dashboard. There’s no need to switch between social accounts to see media notifications. When managing multiple accounts and clients, this cuts down on time lost to waiting for windows to load account details.

Sendible is an easy-to-use platform that comes with a built-in CRM. It’s easy to see why this would be popular with agencies bringing in hefty revenue. However, the price point may not be suitable for newer agencies or solo marketing managers.

Social Pilot

SocialPilot is the low-cost workhorse of content scheduling tools. It will do most of the basic tasks you’d expect this kind of program to handle, but it’s not going to break the bank. It is the Toyota Camry: reliable enough to get you where you need to go but not difficult to fix.

While SocialPilot has a limited number of posts allowed per day (1000) and no advanced features, it is competitively priced. They offer a decent number of social profiles for each price point, multiple Facebook Ad accounts, and the ability to white label your program UI (with an Enterprise plan).

It’s also integrated with a healthy amount of media: Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google My Business, Instagram, Pinterest, Tumblr, TikTok, and even Vk!

Its main standalone benefit is affordability for the features provided.

Agorapulse

Agorapulse has one of the best data reports available and offers unlimited scheduled posts, whereas other services (like Sendible) limit this ability by day.

This is the most expensive tool in standard plans that I’ve found in my research. It costs sixty dollars more than Sendible for access to half the social profiles (though they offer you the option to add more profiles as an add-on).

The low scheduled post limit can get eaten up quickly, especially if you manage multiple companies with several social accounts each!

Agorapulse includes integration for four of the major social media outlets: Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Instagram

Missinglettr

Missing Letter is probably the ideal starting point for a small agency with a limited budget and one or two clients or the solo entrepreneur running their social media. Their premium plan is available for just under $40 a month!

With the Agency add-on for an additional $147 per month, it offers you unlimited Workspaces, one for each client or brand, with respective branding, campaigns, and schedules. At this level, you are also able to white-label with your branding.

Confusingly, with unlimited workspaces, you still have a limit of 25 social profiles. It’s unclear on their website whether this is an overall limit or “per workspace.”

The main weaknesses in this tool are the less-than-thorough Analytics and the minimal integrations. You can post to Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn (with an option to repost to Medium). If you or your clients post anywhere else, you would need to handle it manually.

Concluding Thoughts

There are many, many more options out there for social media scheduling and automated posting. But these four tools are competent and affordably-priced solutions to help you stay on top of your company’s or your clients’ presence across multiple outlets, whether you’re a small agency, a growing company, or a solo entrepreneur.
